Withering is the process where a Plant's growth decreases under conditions that are unsuitable for its growth. This usually happens during Winter, where temperatures are too low for Plant growth.
Withering process[]
Withering only applies to certain types of Plants[1]. When a Plant capable of withering encounters conditions unsuitable for its growth, it begins to wither[2]. When this happens, the growth / harvest stage of the Plant decreases. The more unsuitable the growth conditions, the higher the amount of growth lost per unit time.

Plants that wither are less common, with only the following types of plants being capable of withering:
Field Plants[]
Pear Tree
Poplar Tree
Bamboo (Plant)DLC- All Flower plants (
Plant_Beauty[3])
Wild Plants[]
Plants that do not wither[]
Any plants in the following types that are not in the above list:
- Spirit Roots (
Plant_LingZhi[4]) - Most Field Plants (
Plant_Farm[5]) - Most Herb Garden Plants (
Plant_Special[6]), including the only DLC plant in this category,
Soil Essence (Plant)DLC.
