Losing 200 Mental State isn't feasible for most real characters, meaning there will be specific "break points" where it's possible to get enough Mental State bonuses to cover the loss, while still gaining the much needed Max Qi. Additionally, it is possible to take Wicked Flux in a certain order--taking one reduces the impact of the next one.

Some useful breakpoints:

  • -10 Mental = Tier 8 Wicked Flux
  • -14.4 Mental (just before -15) = Tier 10 Wicked Flux
  • -19 Mental (just before -20) = 2 Tier 8 Wicked Flux
  • -24.96 Mental (just before -25) = T9 then T10 Wicked Flux
  • -27.1 Mental = 3 T8 Wicked Flux
  • -29.95 Mental (just before -30) = T10 then T11 Wicked Flux
  • -34.39 Mental = 4 T8 Wicked Flux
  • -34.997 Mental (just before -35) = T9 then T8 then T11 Wicked Flux
  • -39.40 Mental = 2 T12
  • ?? = just before 40.

To get further (>35 Mental State reduc) breakpoints, it's necessary to start calculating with 4 flux combinations. Which needs to be done by a script, rather than by hand combination.

  • 40, you'd need to check all the 3, and 4 flux combinations.
  • 45 = 3 4 and 5
  • 50 = 3 to 6
  • ... by the way, not only is the list growing in numbers of tiers, but they're getting exponentially harder to check each one, as there's more ways to make combinations.
  • 60 = 4 to 8
  • 70 = 4 to 11
  • 80 = 5 to 15
  • 90 = 6 to 21
  • 100 = 7 to ?? (or chug an infinite amount of Tier 8s)
  • ... Here is where the list starts getting really big. Maybe some theoretical maths could cut it down from brute force computing.

From a rando that is just posting values that he uses for his various breakpoint:

  • 80 = 4 T12 followed by 1 T10 = 80.77
  • 100 = 5 T12 followed by 1 T11 and 1 T8 = 100.45
  • 130 = 9 T12 -> 1 T8 = 130.92
