Scented Sachet is an equipable Tool that improves Base Mental State by 5 points. It has no effect on Outer Disciples.
How to Obtain[]
Scented Sachet can be crafted at a Handcraft Station by an Outer Disciple with the Crafting task activated. Right-click 'Scented Sachet' in the crafting menu to specify the Material. It also requires Purity Leaves to craft, making it a fairly uncommon item in the early days of a playthrough.
Using higher quality materials like Demon Beast Hide improves the Attractiveness and Tier, but does not boost the item's Base Mental State bonus, therefore making it fairly pointless.
Utility[]
Stacked bonuses to the Base Mental State are incredibly useful for Xiandao Cultivators once they form their Golden Core. This is due to the fact that, unlike Qi Shaping and Core Shaping stages that take hours of in-game time to reach the limit, Golden Core and especially Primordial Spirit stages take several days. Constantly switching your cultivators between Practice and Mind modes is a micromanagement hassle (as well as Mind mode being essentially a cultivation downtime), therefore stacking high enough Base Mental State for cultivation to go uninterrupted is very feasible.
