A Sacred Relic is an Artifact made by a Shendao cultivator. Its Artifact statistics solely depend on the buildings in the Divine Realm, and therefore the base item has far less effect than regular Artifacts made by Xiandao cultivators using the Artifact Crafting Skill.
Each Shendao cultivator can only make one Sacred Relic. If the Shendao cultivator Ascends, their Sacred Relic can continue to be used by other Cultivators, however it cannot be equipped by another cultivator if it has any Legacy Artifact bonuses from the Sacred Pavilion buildings. If the Sacred Relic is already equipped at the time of ascension, it will stay equipped.
Differences from Xiandao artifacts[]
Unlike Xiandao artifacts, a Sacred Relic's statistics (Artifact Power, Flying Speed, Artifact Max Qi, etc.) does not depend on the PhysicalLable [sic] properties of the item used to create the artifact.[1] This means that an artifact made from a Blade Pill will have the same statistics as an artifact made from Cotton, despite the two having very high and very low Artifact Power respectively when turned into Xiandao artifacts.
The Tier or Quality of the item used also does not affect the Sacred Relic, whereas it does affect the resulting Artifact's Tier and Quality respectively.
For most items, the Element of the item used also does not affect the Element of the Sacred Relic, as it will almost always be of the None element (although see exception below).
Effects of Item used[]
While the base item does not affect the Sacred Relic's statistics, it does have effects on the Sacred Relic.
- A Sacred Relic made of any item that has the
ShitPhysicalLable [sic] (Feces, Dragon Feces) can cause the "Strong Odor" injury[2], which is highly effective at knocking out enemy Physical Cultivators. - A Sacred Relic made of an Item that is made of an elemental Material changes its Element to that of the Item[3]. For example, a Sacred Relic made from a Lumina Core Acupuncture Needle has the Metal element.
- This does not apply if the Sacred Relic is made from a Material item directly. For example, a Sacred Relic made from Lumina Core has the None element.
Improving the Sacred Relic[]
The statistics of the Sacred Relic are affected by the Buildings in the Divine Realm of the Shendao cultivator.
The Sacred Pavilion affects the Tier of the Sacred Relic
Sacred Pavilion addon buildings affect various statistics of the Sacred Relic, as well as adding certain Legacy Artifact bonuses to the Sacred Relic.
Ascension[]
When the Shendao cultivator ascends after reaching 100 Divinity, the Sacred Relic will be left behind if it is not equipped by the Shendao cultivator at time of ascension. Since ascension turns the character with any equipment into a Deity's Body Building, it is recommended to unequip the Sacred Relic before ascension.
- If the Sacred Relic has any Sacred Pavilion buildings that impart additional properties, the Sacred Relic can no longer be equipped by another character.
- This is because these properties cannot be removed by deactivating these Sacred Pavilion buildings.
- However, if the item was previously equipped, it can remain equipped to that character. Getting knocked out during battle with the relic active would drop and permanently unequip the item.
- If the Sacred Relic has no additional properties, it may be freely equipped by any Character.
