Junk Pills are Pills of None (Element). There are four indistinguishable types of Spirit Relic (T6) Pills, and another Max Qi granting Divine Relic (T9) one. The Spirit Relic ones appear as interchangeable to create the impression of four random effects for a single Pill.
Obtainment[]
All varieties of Junk Pill can be obtained both at Alchemist's Peak by entering the map, or by intentionally failing alchemy with any craft. They also may be randomly stocked for sale by other Sects or the Merchant.
Intentionally failing alchemy can be done by having a very ominous Alchemy Furnace, and a low Alchemy skill level, combined with Spirit Relics which reduce alchemy success rate. The number of Junk Pills produced per craft is randomly generated from 1-5, and does not depend on any Character Properties or Skill Levels[1].
Spirit Powder is a good candidate craft for this purpose, due to its low base success rate and cheap ingredient cost.
Divine Relic Junk Pill[]
The Divine Relic Junk Pill is identifiable by its Tier (T9) and has a distinct effect from the other four Junk Pills: the player takes a great deal of Internal Damage and loses 20 years of Lifespan, but gains a 10% increase to Base Max Qi (BAddP
).
A player should either have Fire element medicine ready, or have another cultivator ready to cast Panacea (Miracle) on the cultivator consuming the Junk Pill in order to cure the Fire element injuries sustained from consuming the Junk Pill.
- The Medicine Strength can be further increased to 17.28% base Max Qi (
BAddP
). and -34.56 Lifespan by Specter Refining to Tier 12. - Medicine Resistance: 100% for this variant.
Spirit Relic Junk Pills[]
There are four effects that a Spirit Relic Junk Pill may have:
- The user's body shrinks 40% smaller for 3 days (
Item_Dan_Fail1
). - The user's body grows 40% larger for 3 days (
Item_Dan_Fail2
). - The user receives Hemorrhoid and Boil (Injuries) (
Item_Dan_Fail3
). - The user faints (
Item_Dan_Fail5
).
