This article is about Favor as a diplomatic value between Sects. For Favor between individual Characters, see Favor (Social). For the disambiguation page, see Favor.
Favor is a measure of the relationship between two Sects. While Factions also have their own Sect Favor with each other, the player can only affect the Favor between the Player Sect and other Factions.
Favor Tiers[]
It is measured numerically, and goes from -1200 to 1200.
Favor score | Favor tier |
---|---|
1000 to 1200 | Respect |
400 to 999 | Friendly |
0 to 399 | Neutral |
-400 to -1 | Cold |
-1000 to -401 | Hostile |
-1200 to -1001 | Hatred |
Gaining Favor[]
- The "Hotel Taiyi" method. Favor is gained depending on the Mood of the Character when they leave the Player Sect. The amount gained is (Mood/2)-30[1], and is further modified by Tribulation IX modifier "Wary Eyes" which halves the value if it is positive[2].
- Build single bed rooms that are Very Auspicious and with as high Tier items as possible.
- Visit the Sect and invite as many of them over as possible using the Social Minigame. Avoid inviting any visitors with permanent negative Moodlets, such as bad clothing or Demonic Cries.
- Once the visitors arrive, assign them to the rooms and use Panacea on each visitor 5 times, and Reconstruction once. This gives them a large amount of positive Moodlets which guarantees that they will return with a high Mood and increase Favor significantly.
- Successfully completing an Easy Task from a Sect, which grants 50 Favor. These tasks generally involve giving the sect common items, such as 200 Goldwood, or assassinating a random Cultivator. These tasks are generated every 2 weeks.
- Successfully completing a Hard Task from a Sect, which grants 200 Favor and 2 Connection. These tasks generally involve giving the sect a rare item, such as an Elemental Fruit or a Morrow Pill. These tasks are generated every 2 weeks.
- Giving the Sect Leader of a Sect a liked item, which grants 200 Favor and 1 Connection. Each item can only be gifted once, however you can assassinate the Sect Leader, which causes a new Sect Leader to be generated with new liked items. This can be done by entering a map after discovering their location outside their home sect and killing them.
Losing Favor[]
The following actions cause the Player Sect to lose Favor with another Sect.
- Entering a Sect's Region without purchasing Access, which loses 50 Favor and summons an attack if still in the map after 30 seconds[3].
- Failing to complete a Task from a Sect, which loses the same amount of Favor and Connection as would have been gained.
- Giving the Sect Leader a disliked item, which loses 200 Favor and 1 Connection.
- A Golden Core Disciple rental (purchased from the Sect) being killed, which loses 200 Favor and 5 Connection.
- A Legacy Artifact rental (purchased from the Sect) being damaged or lost, which loses 200 Favor and 5 Connection.
- A Disciple from another Sect dying within the Player Sect for any reason (including Boss Monsters or Invaders) will lose Favor based on their Cultivation Level, equal to 10*CultivationLevel, for a maximum of -120 points[4].
- A Disciple from another Sect dying outside the Player Sect for any reason while Entering a map will lose Favor based on their status, if the Sect has not been conquered[5]. Killing Disciples from another Conquered sect outside the Player Sect does not result in the loss of any Favor:
- -300 Favor if the Disciple killed has the Ancient Cultivator tag
FightMapElderSeed
, with an additional -150 Favor for each additional Ancient Cultivator tagged Disciple killed from the same Sect[6]. - -50 Favor if the Disciple killed has the flags
JianghuLocaltionSeed
andFightMapStayNpcIndex
[6].
- -300 Favor if the Disciple killed has the Ancient Cultivator tag
- Persuading a Disciple from another Sect to join the Player Sect[7] or become a Shendao Core Follower[8] will lose Connection based on their Cultivation Level[9]. If Connection is insufficient, Invaders from the Sect will attack[10], and Favor will also be reduced[11]. If no Connection is lost (Qi Shaping and lower), no negative effects will occur.
- Core Shaping: 1 Connection, Invader Power Level 8-10 and 150 Favor
- Golden Core: 3 Connection, Invader Power Level 11-13 and 200 Favor
- Primordial Spirit: 5 Connection, Invader Power Level 14-16 and 300 Favor
- Demigod: 10 Connection, Invader Power Level 17-20 and 500 Favor(not possible in-game, as there are no Sect NPC Demigods)
When losing any amount of Favor, Invaders may also be summoned[2]. All Invaders will arrive within the Player Sect after 1.1-1.9 in-game days of time[2]. The power of the Invaders depends on the current Favor level, with stronger Invaders at lower Favor[12]:
- +1200 to -199: No Invaders
- -200 to -499: Base Invader Power +3 (Event 10019)[13], to a maximum of 20
- -500 to -999: Base Invader Power +6 (Event 10020)[13], to a maximum of 20
- -1000 to -1200: Base Invader Power +9 (Event 10021)[13], to a maximum of 20
Uses[]
- Purchasing Territory access from the Sect
- Purchasing rare items from the Sect, some of which requires Favor to be at a certain stage
- Renting artifacts and cultivators from the Sect
- Receiving certain Secrets from Sects, such as Ancient Celeste Talisman.
- Obtaining certain unique rewards, such as Barbarous Forging Body Law or Miao Pet through the Visit to the Sect Leader Adventure.
- Non-player Sect Favor results in different random Events occurring between these Sects. For example, two sects with low Favor are more likely to attack each other, whereas two sects with high Favor are more likely to co-operate with each other. These random events may affect their Sect Power, although the effect of Favor is minimal.
