The Divine Realm is a minigame unique to Shendao Cultivation. It is formed upon reaching Cultivation Level 9 (Divine State)[1] during the Divine Realm Breakthrough.

Divine Realm States and Rings[]

States[]

The Divine Realm is made from a number of states, with their initial number determined by the Divine Realm Breakthrough.Once the Divine Realm is formed, the number of base States can no longer be changed. However, it is still possible to add further States to the Divine Realm, for a total of 80 States at maximum[2]:

  • Up to 3 States can be gained through building Agency Wonders.
  • Up to 29 States can be gained through gaining Obsessions and performing Detachment Tribulations, each removing one Obsession.
    • 4 from Killing
    • 4 from Giving Up (start and cancel Sacred Relic crafting repeatedly)
    • 4 from Greedy
    • 4 from Hedonistic
    • 1 from Arrogant (gain the obsession in Divine State, remove it once in Attainment State). It is not possible to gain the Arrogant obsession in Attainment state as there are no Cultivation Level 13 enemies.
    • 4 from Sympathetic
    • 4 from Anxious
    • 4 from Depressed

Rings[]

Each shendao state is part of a ring in the Divine Realm, to a maximum of 4 rings. Some Buildings have restrictions on the rings where they can be built, see Divine Realm Buildings List.

Guards[]

The Divine Realm guards are the main source of power for Shendaos. They can be obtained from Core Followers, so you start with a maximum of 6, which can be raised by buildings up to 11. They need to be equipped in a Guard's Temple building to take effect.

Divine Residents[]

Your Divine Realm contains a number of Divine Residents, which are used to generate Belief and support buildings. Buildings with a Divine Resident cost need that amount of Divine Residents in your Divine Realm. There are two limiters to your number of residents:

Hatred[]

You can bypass the Divine Residents requirements of your Divine Realm but this will generate Hatred. At 100% Hatred, you'll trigger a Belief Tribulation. There are 4 ways to generate Hatred:

  • Less Residents than cost your buildings adds % hatred per second
  • More Residents than your housing capacity (Max Divine Residents) adds % hatred per second
  • More Residents than your safe population adds % hatred per second
  • More Core Follower than you can house (Max Core Follower) adds % hatred per second

As Belief Tribulations get 22% stronger everytime, it is not recommended to generate Hatred for long periods of time.

Divine Realm Buildings[]

Divine Realm buildings can be of two kinds, standard or part of the Sacred Pavilion. The Sacred Pavilion buildings determine how strong the Shendao cultivator's Sacred Relic is[3].

Unlocking Buildings[]

  • A number of buildings are unlocked by default
  • Some are unlocked by specific Breakthroughs
  •  Ancient Scrolls will randomly unlock new buildings for the Shendao Cultivator reading it.
