Celestial Demon Incarnation is a Manual which increases the Cultivation Speed of a Xiandao cultivator when learned, but requires that the cultivator cast the Refine Soul Miracle on a Mortal in a scheduled manner, failing which extremely large Mood and Mental State debuffs will occur.
Do not take this skill unless you are really evil, and want a lot of Condemnation.
Mechanics[]
A Cultivator who learns the Manual receives the following modifier (Gong_DevilBlood)[1]:
- +40% Perception and Constitution (
AddP) - -40% Charisma and Luck (
AddP) - +400% Cultivation Speed Bonus (
AddP) - +400% Learning Speed (
AddP)
The drawbacks, however, are numerous. Firstly, the Cultivator will receive increasingly stronger levels of the "Demonic Cries" (DevilBlood) debuff Moodlet. The debuff starts at -60 Mood, and every 6 days an additional stack of the debuff is added to the Cultivator, until at 60 days the debuff reaches a maximum of -600 Mood[2]. Having such a low Mood will effectively cancel out the benefits from the Manual.
Refine Soul[]
In order to satisfy the Inner Demon and remove the debuff, Refine Soul must be cast on a Mortal. This has the following effects:
- Adds 2 Condemnation to the caster and 10 evil Alignment to the Player Sect[3].
- Adds the "Pain of Refinement" (
DevilBlood_LianHun) injury, "Refine Soul" (DevilBlood_LianHun) Moodlet of -20 to the targeted Mortal and +20% Pain Tolerance (AddP) for 1 day[4]. - Adds the "Temporarily Satisfied" (
DevilBlood_Satisfy) Moodlet of +24 Mood to the caster and removes all "Demonic Cries" moodlets for 2 days[4]. - Any Outer Disciples witnessing the event by being within line of sight may become Dissatisfied with the Player Sect, which may result in Defection. If the Miracle is cast on an Outer Disciple, they will immediately reach the threshold for Defection.
Solutions (long term)[]
- Become a Demi-God (It nullifies every mood modifier)
- Release Disciple from sect
- Rebirth the Disciple
Trivia[]
- One of the many "takes" on Demon.
- The Refine Soul Miracle is mistranslated as "Soul Smelting" in the Manual text. The "Demonization Miracle" referred to in the Manual text is implemented as a Modifier, and is not an actual castable Miracle.
