Auctions are Secrets where the player can acquire valuable Items by bidding 
Spirit Stones against seven other Cultivators.
Location[]
Auctions take place at Black Beach (Place_BirthPlace16), which the player may join by Adventuring there while the Auction Secret is active.
Auction Invitation[]
The auction location can be unlocked by inspecting an 
Auction Invitation (Item_AuctionPaper), which can in turn be traded from Traveling Merchants with 100 Spirit Stones or equivalent value. The Auction Invitation displays the time until the next auction event in its description.
Note: Inspecting one Auction Invitation is enough. You do not need to purchase more for subsequent auctions.
Bidding[]
Bidding starts from 100 with increments of 100, 500, or 1000 Spirit Stones. It is not limited to the amount in one's possession, though going beyond it may result in repercussions. See #Clone Pill
It is possible to skip the bidding phase to the next item, or to the end of the auction.
Auction Types[]
There are four different categories of Auction events, with different items offered:
- Mortal Relic Auction (9002)
- Features mostly common items, including some rare items such as Elemental Fruits, Flood Dragon Flesh, Phoenix Flesh.
- Miscellaneous Auction (9012)
- Features a wide range of items, with a large variety of people joining in as well.
- Treasure Auction (9013)
- Features only very rare treasures, and the guests attending it are all extraordinary people.
- Mystic Auction (9011)
- The items sold in this auction are shrouded in mysteries, and as such, aren't expressly identified.

Buffs[]
Clone Pill[]
Being under the effect of a Clone Pill allows sneaking away from Auctions after having overbid beyond one's means, avoiding the usual punishment of Auction Jail.
It does NOT let you keep the items you've bid on.
Piercing Sight[]
Piercing Sight (Mature Phoenix Pet ability) can be used to identify mystery items in auctions by using the ability before sending a disciple to the Auction. The buff does not reveal all Mystery Items (see below).
